Frequently asked questions

What will happen during my first session?

The first consultation will allow me to fully understand your problem.

I will first ask you about any past issues, your general health and any medication you may be taking. All this information will be used to establish a diagnosis and provide you with a treatment plan specifically designed for you.

I will then examine the problem area and perform tests to uncover the causes of your problem.

When I have all the information I need, I will explain your diagnosis to you and how I can help you. The most important thing for me is to be aware of your expectations.

We are then ready to start treatment.

Should I bring any paperwork?

In order to facilitate your first session:

  • Bring any referral letters, reports and scans if you have them

  • Payment is required at the end of each session by cash or cheque

What should I wear?

To understand what the problem is I will need to examine any relevant part of your body. You can bring a pair of shorts and a top to wear.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed will depend on your issue.

You will need 6 sessions minimum to recover properly from pelvic floor problems.

The number of sessions for chest physiotherapy will depend on the degree of congestion, It varies between 3 to 6 sessions.

Simple back pain typically resolves after 4 sessions.

The number of sessions for neurological, orthopaedic and post surgery treatment is variable.

Do I need a prescription?

No you can self refer.

Can you invoice my insurance company directly?

Unfortunately, I do not invoice insurances. You will need to settle your fees on the day of treatment. I will give you an itemised invoice which you can send to your insurer for re-imbursement. You will need to check the procedure for covering your physiotherapy treatment with your insurer before you come for treatment..

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay by cash or cheque. I do not currently accept card payments.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours notice for any cancellation. The full fee is due if you cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment.
